Axygen® 带滤芯防气溶胶吸头极其适合DNA扩增和微生物学应用，在这些应用中，极微量的污染便会导致结果失效。滤芯可以在吸头内形成物理屏障，抑制并阻挡气溶胶，从而防止样本间的交叉污染。每个聚乙烯滤芯均不含DNA抑制剂，采用自动操作方式插入吸头，以避免核酸酶污染。这种吸头采用带盖的底部密封吸头盒包装，以防止污染，并可提供灭菌形式。
