NADPH-cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase (OR) is a necessary co-enzyme for the catalytic function of the cytochrome P450 system. OR is co-expressed in many Corning Gentest™ Cytochrome P450 Products in order to enhance the catalytic activity of the cytochrome P450 enzyme. OR has been implicated in the metabolic activation of some anticancer drugs such as mitomycin C and in the activation of some dinitropyrenes.
