Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO) is commonly used in cell cryopreservation, along with glycerol, to prevent damage to the cell membrane during freezing. DMSO solutions freeze at higher temperatures [18.5°C]; if frozen, allow the solution to fully thaw before use.
