Environmental Distribution Center (EDC)

The Corning environmental distribution center (EDC) is designed to provide safe fiber optic storage. It offers integrated protection for connections and splices in indoor and outdoor environments and is ideal for industrial, marine, security, or traffic control applications. It can also accommodate the changing requirements and growing needs of modern fiber optic networks. The EDC accepts closet connector housing (CCH) panels and splice trays for field connectorization, including fusion and mechanical splices for splicing or fan-out techniques.

• Composite construction provides outstanding chemical and temperature resistance with excellent resilience in inclement weather conditions
• The unit is rated to NEMA 4X or IEC IP66 and offers protection from corrosion, rain, sleet, snow, and windblown dust
• The cover may be secured with quick-release latches or padlocked for additional security
• The EDC-CS-02P accepts two closet connector housing (CCH) cassettes, panels, or modules
• The EDC-CS-06P accepts six CCH cassettes, panels, or modules for a variety of connectivity options

All EDC models include the brackets required for wall or pole mounts; additional accessories include a grounding kit, a rack-mount kit, and various fittings.
