Fiber Building Terminal (FBT)

Corning fiber building terminal (FBT) is intended for building entrance applications. The unit has been designed for either preconnectorized cables, field installation of connectors or field splicing of pigtails.

The FBT accepts up to 48 fibers equipped with a variety of industry-standard connectors. It may also be factory-stubbed with either indoor riser-rated or outside plant cable. The rugged construction of the FBT allows cable entries from either top or bottom and has cable entry ports sized for “liquid-tight” connectors or conduit fittings. The unit has a grommeted outer door and a protective inner door for the splicing and cable area. Fiber management is addressed utilizing unique fiber management rings and bend-radius control mechanisms.

The unit is shipped fully equipped with cable strain-relief hardware, bonding and grounding kits and jumper tie-off brackets.
