Classic Closet Connector Housing

Corning classic closet connector housings (CLSSC) provide interconnect or cross-connect capabilities between outside plant, riser or distribution cables, and optoelectronics. The housings accept closet connector housing (CCH) panels. The units are designed to reduce the risk of errors that can disrupt networks and can be mounted in 19-in (48-cm) racks or optional 23-in (58-cm) equipment racks (1.75-in EIA hole spacing).

The 1U and 2U housings can also be mounted in 23-in (58 cm) equipment racks by flipping the 19-in mounting brackets; optional 23-in extension brackets are available for the 3U and 4U housings. The 1U and 2U options feature a slide-out tray, while 3U and 4U options have a tinted polycarbonate front door and an open top at the front of the housing for easier access and jumper routing. Classic closet connector housings are compatible with CCH connector panels for multimode and single-mode applications in 6-, 8-, 12-, 16- and 24-fiber configurations. Documentation labels are provided, and components can be added as needed to construct a fiber distribution frame for any application. The units include multiple locations for jumper egress and come with the universal cable clamp for cable strain relief. All housings are compatible with a field-installable lock kit for the front door.

This CCH, introduced in 2012, was designed based on customer feedback and offers innovative features that make installation and troubleshooting fiber optic connectivity faster, easier, and more cost-effective.
